Captain Philip Donnel (space ship pilot); Bob Hatch (language expert); Lieutenant James Murtha (engineer, death); Sandor Mannershmitt (inventor of the space time overdrive, mention only)
Captain Donnel is assigned the duty of traveling to the star Pollux, a 30 year travel distance, in order to study the star's solar system, which is supposedly very much like the Earth's solar system. However, due to the distance and time involved, Donnel and his crew will be considerably older after the mission and may not return......alive. They have a surprise awaiting them upon landing.
