A Broadway promoter hears tales of an island monster, so he charters a ship and takes his expedition to that island, discoveres the creature, captures it and returns it to New York to be put on display at Madison Square Garden. Unknown to any of them, they too late discover the creature actually to be a peace-loving alien which came to Earth bringing a message of friendship from his home planet.
