Synopsis:
Allegra has been blasted to the surface world and awakens to find herself restrained by Lak and his followers. She finds, however, that they worship her and have only captured her so Lak can explain what is really going on. Dr. Huber and the floating colony of Midian have continued to ravish the surface of the planet rather than allowing it to flourish so humans can reclaim it. Soon after learning this, Allegra is captured by the rival colony of Kioram where Dr. Tullus tells her pretty much the same thing. Keres shows up to rescue her but finds her consorting with the enemy so she shoots her.
