This version appears to be the same as the Warren edition, rather than a translation from the Spanish edition, which was more common in Gredown comics. The only differences seem to suggest censorship: the words "in hell" have been deleted from a caption on page 7 ("He didn't have a chance in hell...") and the dead boy's scarf removed from the wolf's mouth in the final panel. Other printings of this story include: Rufus (IMDE, 1973 series) #19 [Original title: El lazarillo]; and Creepy (Toutain Editor, 1979 series) #19 [Original title: El lazarillo].

This story has the same script/translation/lettering as the US Warren version, but lacks the grey tone colouring and many of the black backgrounds in the Warren printing. Many text captions in the Warren version are white text on a black background, rather than the black text here. The subtle variations make this look like a pre-production version before editoral changes were introduced to darken the visual tone of the Warren printing. Other printings of this story include: Rufus (IMDE, 1973 series) #30 (November 1975) [Original title: El testamento de Angus Crow].

"©—Editorial Vilmar—Barcelona—The Illustrated." While this story has a letterer credit, the text is in Spanish (rotulos) and the credit probably applies to the original Spanish version rather than this translation. Other printings of this story include: Escorpion (Vilmar, 1973 series) #75 (1983).
