Attacked by a mountain lion, Ringo loses his horse and nearly dies in the desert. Ray Colman, a government agent, saves him and asks for Ringo's help finding a fugitive, Angel Antonio Altar Muros, and his gang. But Ringo is a man that chooses justice over the law. After two of Altar’s group are killed by Coleman, Ringo shoots the agent to save an innocent man who's been forced to become a fugitive from the law.

Bill arrives at Indian Pass and sees Destry Jones who is returning to avenge his father's murder by Dan Stevens. Bill is taken to be a federal agent investigating the murder and is beaten and dumped out of town. Bill returns and kills Stevens in self-defense. Destry kills Steven's henchmen and arrives to find Stevens dead. The two men leave Indian Pass, having shared a saga of vengeance while barely meeting.

Mr Norton buys a valley and ruthlessly forces the Indians out of their home through murder and alcohol. Aged 20, Red Wolf fights back and his legend begins. Norton hires Ringo to find Red Wolf, claiming he is a murder who has kidnapped White Lilly. The lie is revealed when Ringo finds them, but Norton’s men have followed. Disguised, Ringo draws them off and Red Wolf kills Norton before escaping with White Lilly.
