Synopsis: Kitty shows up at the Mansion to become a teacher. Wolvie throws down with Cyclops for shacking up with Emma so soon after Jean's death. Synopsis: Dr. Rao presents the world with a little girl whom she has cured of having the mutant gene. The X-Men are disturbed by this but find they have their hands full facing the alien Ord who has hired flunkies and taken a room full of hostages. As Ord cuts the X-Men down one by one, it is Lockheed who flies in to the rescue burning Ord's face badly. The X-Men are divided about the mutant cure as some of their students have left and Beast looks like he may want to take the cure himself. Beast invades Benetech labs and confronts Rao, an old colleague, about her mutant cure.

Synopsis: With mutants lining up to take the cure, the X-Men are scrambling to keep their school intact. Ord confronts Rao and it is revealed that it is his alien technology that allowed the doctor to make a cure for the mutant gene. Cyclops visits Nick Fury concerning this new threat but Fury remains neutral. Wolverine discovers that Beast has obtained a sample of the cure from Dr. Rao and commands that he destroy it. The pair battle through the halls of the school until Emma stops them. Beast discovers the body that Rao is testing her samples on and tells the X-Men that they have to get to Benetech.
