Ted Mishkin; Waldo The Cat; Dr. Reinman; Winsor Newton; Lillian Freer; Al Mishkin; Nathan Mishkin
Dr. Reinman recounts the case of Ted Mishkin, a cartoonist who has a delusional relationship with one of his cartoon creations - a cat called Waldo. He thinks he has cured Ted, via shock therapy, only to find the delusion turns up yet again in Ted's nephew Nathan. Shortly after Nathan escapes the asylum, apparently with Waldo's help, Reinman retires, and winds up a patient himself.
