Synopsis: Alma travels by train to Rock Gulch, Arizona to visit her uncle and meets a young hobo along the way. Her uncle owns a local newspaper in Rock Gulch like her own father had in England before he died. But strange things start happening after her uncle starts an enquiry into the death of a stranger shot in the back out in the foothills. When Uncle Dave's car is sabotaged, he is injured and forced to stay in the hospital. Meanwhile, Alma takes over the newspaper and gets help from the man she had met on the train.
