Synopsis: Rose's grandmother plans to name Rose to be the next queen at the upcoming gipsy gathering. Along the way, Rose slips off to meet an outsider who paints her portrait and he falls in love with her. Rose's grandmother forbids her to associate with a Gorgio and rules that she must marry an unscrupulous gipsy man, who is only interested in the queen's wealth. Buffeted by passions and jealousies, Rose would eventually uncover the secret of her own mother's involvement with a Gorgio.
