Comet
Comet [Rob Conners]; Victoria Johnson; Applejack [Nathan East]; Detective Ben Lee; Lance Perry
After receiving another threatening letter from Applejack, Victoria stays at home guarded by two policeman and the Comet. Applejack, an ex-abused child with the power to instill fear in his victims, kills the two cops and enters Victoria's house. After a scuffle Victoria manages to knock him through a window where the Comet takes up the chase. After initially being influenced by Applejack's fear power, the Comet blasts him from a distance, knocking him out and enabling him to be captured. Comet blurts out he was an old high school teacher of his, thereby giving Lee a clue to his identity.

Too early still for letters to the column, it is filled with commentary by Mark Waid on the beginnings of The Comet. Bottom half of second page is a subscription ad for Impact Comics.
