The Human Torch
The Human Torch [Jim Hammond]; Toro [Thomas Raymond]; Walt Neilson (Rankin's nephew, introduction); Rankin (villain, introduction, death)
An uncle steals money from a vault and frames his nephew for the crime, then murders the prosecutor involved in the case because the man's conscience began to bother him. The Torch believes the young man innocent because he had taken a slug in the shoulder escaping jail and there should have been plenty of blood in the room if he had committed the murder and there was only the victim's blood. The uncle blackjacks Torch and Toro and locks them in a freezer but they escape. Torch and Toro then pursue the uncle's car and he loses control of it and dies in the crash.
