William Cross is freed from police custody by Death-Throws. Cross is unable to pay for the rescue operation and still has yet to pay Bombshell and Oddball for their prior assistance against Hawkeye and Mockingbird. Death-Throws decide to recoup their money by using Cross as bait to capture Hawkeye who they would then ransom. Cap, Hawkeye and Mockingbird defeat the villain. Bernie moves away for law school and Steve decides to move back to Avengers Mansion leaving their relationship up in the air.
