Ambassador, I'm not prepared to bicker over price!
A well-meaning gesture by Daddy Warbucks leads to Annie's tearful admission that she believes her parents are still alive, so he launches a wide-ranging search for them. Rooster and Lily pretend to be the missing parents and Warbucks feels that he has to let Annie go with them. Annie's friends from the orphanage walk all the way uptown to Daddy's mansion to reveal the truth, and Annie and Sandy are rescued from a dangerous situation.

Adaptation of the 1982 film version of the 1977 Broadway musical based on characters from the long-running comic strip Little Orphan Annie, created by Harold Gray.
The characters of Punjab and the Asp, associates of Daddy Warbucks in the comics, were restored to the plot in the film version, though they do not appear in the original musical.
