Synopsis:
Orphan Tommy Troy overhears crooks and is sent to a haunted house of "wizards". Tommy finds a fly ring that opens a dimensional portal. Out steps Turan of the Fly People, a super-advanced race that devolved into flies, waiting for a person to battle crime and greed. Tommy is bequeathed powers of walking on walls, super-strength, seeing in all directions, and cunning to escape any traps. He rubs the ring and becomes a costumed man: The Fly! Now to serve justice!.. "The Fly Strikes" He wraps the orphan manager and crooks for the cops, reverts to Tommy Troy, and Turan says farewell.

Notes:
1) Origin. Kirby pencils per Harry Mendryk's Simon and Kirby blog: http://kirbymuseum.org/blogs/simonandkirby/archives/2580. 2) Previous indexer credited Simon as co-penciller. 3) The Fly borrows tropes from Shazam! but ends up an orphan boy with super-insect powers. Since this was 1959 and Jack Kirby soon worked for Marvel, there are ongoing arguments whether The Fly inspired Spider-Man.
