Synopsis: Gail schemes to make her wealthy high school boyfriend Ron propose to her before he’s inducted into the Army. They elope but keep it a secret from everyone. While Ron is gone, Gail gets an office job in another town and falls in love with her boss Frank. Ron is killed in action and his last wish is that she be given his Medal of Honor. Frank realises Gail was married to someone else all the time she was dating him, and breaks up with her.

When nosy neighbors think Laurie and Bill are “misbehaving,” Laurie confesses that she’s been “using” Bill so she could enjoy his family—but then realizes she actually does love him after all. Bill chastises Laurie’s parents for their neglect, but everything is happily resolved and Bill and Laurie become engaged.
