Originally credited to Leonard Starr, but this is Rosenberger, who is credited on various features for ACG by Jerry Bails' Who's Who. He is best known for his work on "Adventures of the Fly" and "Adventures of the Jaguar" in the early 60's. The artwork in this story has all the close up faces, and hands and lips that point to him. He also had many stories in "Adventures into the Unknown", and #66 compares very well with this story.

Suggestions by many this to be art by McCarty, and the faces and horses compare well with signed or credited work on "Kid Colt Outlaw" #50 (Atlas) and in "Black Magic" #16 (Prize). He is not found in Jerry Bails' Who's Who. The inker is not certain.
