First appearance of Mad Doctor Doom's old barnstorming biplane, which would become a regular presence in his stories.

A running gag in the Mad Doctor Doom stories is that he and Chester always have to do mundane things even as they discuss their supervillainous plans; here we see Doom renting a car to take them to their lair at Crackstone Manor.

To earn money for a new pair of skates Little Archie takes a job as a delivery boy for grocer Midas Mudge, the stingiest man in Riverdale. When Little Archie goes out for his first delivery, pulling the food on a sled, the sled gets away from him and slides down the snowy hill.
