Due to her fear of heights, Lotta is afraid to join the search for a boy who is lost in the mountains. Consoling herself with an ice cream soda at the local pharmacy, the druggist hears of her fear of heights and gives her a special liquid which is supposed to make one lose all fear. No longer afraid of heights, Lotta scales the mountain and rescues the boy, becoming the town hero in the process. She later learns that the "special liquid" that she drank was only cherry soda.
