The Riverdale crew spend the day touring all the sites in Washington, D.C., including the White House, the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. As they tour the Capital Building, Dilton tries to get away from the tour so he can address Congress. He then runs into an official carrying classified documents. Dilton's speech and some of the documents get mixed up and Dilton is arrested as a spy.

The gang goes to the Smithsonian Institute. Chaos follows as Archie tries to keep Dilton out of trouble. But when the 2 boys struggle, Archie falls into the Wright Brothers' plane that's hanging from a ceiling wire. The wire snaps and Archie glides the plane through the Smithsonian Institute.
