Something queer at that filling station.
OPA man Thompson sees the station tanks of a "Diamond Gasoline" station, run by Dorrit, being filled by a "Blue Gasoline" tanker truck. He is sapped by Gammack, who hijacked the "Blue" truck. Young Johnny reports finding Thompson's car in the woods while picking berries. Fingerprints are found. Police find the "Blue Gas" truck abandoned. Following up at Dorrit's gas station, they discover blue-color gas in his Diamond pumps. Dorrit spills: Gammack is at Louie's roadhouse. (Dorrit's description of Gammack fits wanted gunman Grommett.) Shots! Car Chase! Thompson and the "Blue" trucker yet live.

Twelve year old Greg and his miniature Collie, Nick, are inseparable. The family moved to Detroit months ago for work, sans Nick. Greg's been back in Brooklyn a week to bring him to Detroit. But Nick pushes open the door, and runs afoul of a new govt reg: a dog in public with no muzzle or no leash must be destroyed. Greg bites the dogcatcher, a cop intervenes, Greg apologizes in court, but vows that if they kill his friend, he'll grow up and make it a crime to murder anyone's dog.
