Superman and Luthor fall into the bay and swim to an island where Superman discovers his powers are gone. Luthor tries fighting but Superman knocks him unconscious, then blacks out. When he awakens, the Coast Guard has taken Luthor. His powers returning, Superman flies home to Lois. Dru-Zod's ship is recovered. Jimmy gives Superman the sunstone crystal he found, and Superman gives Jimmy a new signal watch. Superman learns Luthor has escaped from prison. Superman flies to the polar ice cap and activates the sunstone crystal. He throws it on the ice and it grows a new Fortress of Solitude.

One of the panels (page 4 panel 3) was semi-swiped from the cover of Superman (DC, 1939 series) #164, at Kurt's request (per a reply by Kurt on a topic on Newsarama on 2006-06-22). Weisinger Square is an homage to former Superman editor Mort Weisinger.
