After being robbed twice by Pelley Larry loses his job on suspicion that he was aiding the hijackers. Unable to find work, Larry ends up working for Pelley. Larry marries Linda and tries to go straight but when Pelley uses Larry's farm as a hideout Larry finally turns on him. Pelley kills Linda and Larry dies killing Pelley.

While trying to be a shill at an auction house Homer winds up giving all his money for Billy the Kid's gun. When he tries to sell it at a pawn shop the dealer assumes Homer is robbing him and empties his till. Homer decides to become a robber but in his first real hold-up a policeman arrives and shoots him dead.

Matches believes he could be a great actor and uses his impersonation skills in crime. Matches and Beadle kill Dane and his butler then take over their lives, but he forgets Dane is supposed to be a misanthrope in his eagerness to sell off part of Dane's art collection to Gentry. Gentry brings in Johnson, who quickly determines 'Dane' is a fake. Johnson claims the police are on the way and cautions Matches not to try and escape through the balcony outside his office window. Matches ignores him and goes to do just that - but there is no balcony and he falls to his death.

After getting out of prison Tut kills a bartender. An injury later robs him of his speech and he returns to prison. Escaping jail he flees into the snow but finds a cabin inhabited by a deaf man who can't hear him knocking on the door. Tut dies in the cold.
