Marcus the Golden Gladiator; Nile Queen (presumably Cleopatra)
In Egypt, Marcus guards the "Peace Banner" flying from a pyramid, but he's felled and loses it. Branded a coward, he vows to the "Nile Queen" (Cleopatra?) to return it. He tracks a fishing knife to the waterfront, is attacked, vaults onto a departing vessel, and retrieves the banner. Riding hard, plowing through villains, he restores the Peace Banner atop the pyramid, and is thanked by the Queen. But seeing the banner fly "is reward enough for me!"

Sir Edwin continues to slander The Silent Knight, and Squire Brian (SK's secret identity) impulsively says the SK will meet any challenge. Just then a battleaxe and note thump down. The Hooded Terror will exact tribute from anyone crossing the bridge through the Forest Perilous. Brian dons the SK's garb and follows Slasher the hawk to the bridge. He's snared, but even upside down routs the twin Hooded Terrors with Slasher's help. Still, the SK must accept a challenge on the jousting field, and even felled, grabs a lance and wins the bout - and a rose from fair Lady Celia.
