Private Eric Roeder
During the war, a German deserter encounters the same man, over and over, who keeps repeating, "It's your turn next!". Finally finding refuge in an amusement park, he wanders behind the shooting gallery, which is owned by the mystery man, and is gunned down by "a firing squad after all!" (Because, apparently, they use live ammo at this amusement park.)

Mr. Brant
A top astronomer is a Doubting Thomas when it comes to UFO reports. Despite mounting evidence, his continued rejections and "No comment!" turn the public against him and they become an unruly mob, complete with torches. He holds a press conference to dispel the stories once and for all. On a blackboard, he explains how familiar creatures (fish) pass through their atmosphere but insists that "nothing exists above our watery atmosphere!". The last panel reveals a domed underwater city, labelled Atlantis.

Marvin Craig (train engineer); Jerry (co-engineer)
A commuter train enters a tunnel and disappears. The crew and passengers find themselves on a world inhabited by strange and friendly creatures. The humans come to admire this new world as the creatures come to admire the different conditions they are told of Earth. Eventually, the train is ready to return to its original destination. The engineer recounts his story to a group of people who are skeptical until the passengers disembark, and we see only alien creatures, as all the people, save for the engineer, stayed behind in the strange new world.
