After Green Lantern stops two attempts on prize-fighter "Kid" McKay's life, mobsters working for Mark Karaste kidnap Kid's wife Mary to force him to take a dive in the big fight. Green Lantern convinces the Kid to go ahead with the fight, taking a dive in the last round if he has to, while GL looks for Mary.
