Collection of daily and Sunday newspaper comic strips (Sundays in color on glossy paper). Notable story arcs include: Mike has to fire coders; B.D. revisits Vietnam; Mark's relationship with Chase; medical marijuana; Mr. Butts testifies to Congress; Scott embarrasses Joanie; Kenneth Starr cruises Malibu; Duke helps Donald Trump try to crush small business owners; Mike and Kim get married.

Garry Trudeau acknowledged employing Don Carlton as inker of Doonesbury (Alter 1990). Carlton’s association with Trudeau began in the early 1970s, and his responsibilities grew to include lettering of the strip. The association endured for decades (Walker 2010, 30–31).
