Like the last two issues, and the next 13, this issue is an experiment in form. The story is told in the form of 24 splash pages. Each of the pages contains nine scrabble tiles, with the letters P-R-O-M-E-T-H-E-A rearranged on each page to form a different word or phrase illustrating a point. Pages 2-23 each feature a card of the major arcana (cards 0-21), each of which plays a symbolic part in the story being told, with Sophie the witness and the snakes on her caduceus the tour guides. Along the bottom of each page a separate, but intertwined story takes place, in the form of an extended joke told by Aleister Crowley, who grows from a fetus through childhood, adulthood, old age, and a corpse over the course of 24 pages. The Crowley illustrations feature painted colors by Villarrubia, while the rest of the page features traditional colors by Cox.
