Walt Disney's Donald Duck
Illustration on Cover, Front
1   The cover is an combination of images from two sources. The Donald Duck figure is taken from page 7, panel 4 of "Jet Witch" in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories (Dell, 1940 series) #254 (November 1961), and flipped as a mirror image. The jack o'lantern is from page 13, panel 6 of the story "Trick or Treat" in Donald Duck (Dell, 1952 series) #26 (November-December 1952).

Filler on Interior Page(s)
1   The top half of the page is a photo of Carl Barks. The bottom half is an illustration of Donald Duck drawing himself, with a text description of the pencils and pens Barks used for his work.

1   The image of Donald Duck is a redrawn version of page 16, panel 6 of "The Mummy's Ring" from Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck (Gold Key, 1966 series) #1 (June 1966). That panel itself was a version redrawn for the Gold Key reprint by Carl Barks from the original panel in Four Color (Dell, 1942 series) #29 (September 1943), probably because the original plates for that page were lost or damaged. (Information on the Gold Key reprint from Mark Worden via his publication "The Carl Barks Checklist," 1981.)
