The Robinsons re-establish contact with Earth, but while they explore an alien planet an evil scientist captures the children, using his army of ice creatures. He subjects them to mind control and uses them to kidnap a scientist on a rival planet. Craig captures the mind control device and frees the children, who release the scientist. Krangak and his ice creatures are killed in the ensuing struggle.

Earth scientists find it incredible that the Robinsons are two million miles from the solar system. This is actually not very far in astronomical terms, about equal to four round trips between the Earth and the Moon.
