Notes:
This series takes place in both World War II and the present. William Bryon (Young Avenger) appears in both time periods in this issue.
William Bryon's age is implied to be 93 in this issue, but it is explicitly stated to be 91 in issue #2 ("I'll be ninety-two years old next March").
Page 2, panel 2 shows five Victory Boys. Page 2, panel 3 appears to show six Victory Boys. There are seven known Victory Boys: Piotr, Hans, Victor, Kurt Erzberger, Maxie Stein, Gus Weber, and Warren Zumwald. Only Piotr is identified by name in this series. It is likely that six of these seven members are the characters who were killed in this issue. Piotr is said to be the cousin of William Bryon (Young Avenger).
In this issue, Invisible Man's secret identity is given as William D. Gade. In issue #2, it is given as Harry Gade. In Marvel Mystery Handbook: 70th Anniversary Special (Marvel, 2009 Series) #1, it was given as Leonard Gade.
