Piotr talks to Kurt in the X-Men's chapel about his troubles. Scott and Emma drop by and tell him to go do whatever he needs to do to get over it. Piotr finds a Russian restaurant, but when trouble comes up he discovers someone from his past that he can't face. Meanwhile, Emma looks through Scott's mind, which features pretty much every attractive non-redheaded woman he's ever seen, to find out why she can't remember what happened at the Hellfire Cult. Notes:
Dr. Nemesis is a Golden Age character originally published by Ace Magazines. His adventures began in Lightning Comics v1 #6 (April 1941) and ended in Super-Mystery Comics v4 #1 (January 1944). Decades after the character entered the public domain, Marvel Comics created their own version of Dr. Nemesis. He was introduced as a hero-turned-villain, now calling himself Dr. Death, in INVADERS (Marvel, 1993 series) #1-4. He is reintroduced in the present day in this issue, having since reformed and once again using the name Dr. Nemesis.
