Keith Chandler : The artist is credited as Jack Small. Edwin Jon Smalle, who most notably drew Congo Bill for National for many years, is credited by Bails as being a member of the Funnies Inc. shop at this date. 'Jack' is a common form for 'Jo(h)n'. It seems like a possibile identification.
