The four pieces were "Superman-style pants, shirt, plastic belt, and cape." The playsuit set also came with:
1. Special Magazine [Superman's Buddy]
2. SUPERMAN Certificate [Supermen of America membership certificate that included the code for "Superman's secret messages" that appeared in issues of Action Comics and Superman during the 1940s through to the mid-1960s]
3. Identification Card [for Superman fan club]

Ads for this Playsuit first appeared in c. June 1954 issues of DC comics (e.g., Peter Porkchops #37, June 1954), which sets the date for publication.

A reproduction of the 1958 2nd printing was included in the DC Vault (Running Press, 2008).
