Pennance attacks Ariel at a carnival outside Salem, Georgia after the midway has shut down. (The outcome of this battle is not resolved in this issue.) The story switches scenes to the next morning, as Perry is packing up to leave Salem when when a beautiful woman out for a morning stroll introduces herself as Jessica Chylde.

The letters page explains that Queen had health problems and Ed Benes was asked to help with the art on this story. It appears that the Benes/Friend/Sinclair art team was responsible for the Perry Stodghill/Jessica Chylde section of the story.
