Synopsis: Pennance attacks Ariel at a carnival outside Salem, Georgia after the midway has shut down. (The outcome of this battle is not resolved in this issue.) The story switches scenes to the next morning, as Perry is packing up to leave Salem when when a beautiful woman out for a morning stroll introduces herself as Jessica Chylde.
