Believing that Ghost Rider is an evil demon, Dr. Druid shows up and picks a fight. Responding to the Druid's attack, Johnny transforms into the Ghost Rider in front of his entire TV crew, putting to rest any question that he is the spirit of vengeance. After the battle and feeling like he has no choice, Johnny leaves Los Angeles and his TV stunt career behind.
