Hong Kong, Sunrise. It is a fine, clear morning on this island-state where high technology lives side by side with ancient tradition.
Stark Industries in Hong Kong is attacked by the Mandarin's Avatars, and the call for help gets routed through to Force Works. The team leave without Iron Man, who has been missing since his fight with War Machine in his own title. Unknown to Force Works, Iron Man is in China, a captive of the Mandarin along with War Machine who has been unmasked and tortured. During Force Works' fight with the Avatars, Century suddenly teleports away and reappears in the dungeon with Iron Man and War Machine. Century jumps to protect Rhodey, but the Mandarin blasts them and seemingly destroys them both.
