The Master Form, key to the mysterious Lazarus Project, is hidden in the small village of Rumika by agents of its current possessor, Prince Baron. Jessica gets beaten up in a fight with Pinocchio, a robot controlled by Dr. Page, who also has plans for the Master Form. She and Lindsay return to the United States. Wolverine tracks down the robot and during a brutal fight, gets acid thrown in his face. He leaps out a window and into the sea, barely escaping with his life.
