Notes:
Keith Chandler : Paul Hans Jepson, noted as a pulp magazine illustrator, signs in the final panel of both first and second pages. Pages two and three bear a copyright by George Matthew Adams Service, while page two has the date '10/19' clearly visible. In common with a number of other newspaper Sundays - 'Don Dixon and the Lost Empire', for example - the strip is an obvious imitation of Alex Raymond's popular 'Flash Gordon' strip. 'Rod Rian' was first offered for newspaper syndication during the fall of 1935.
