Midnight moves to protect Dave's radio station's most popular singer, who is being swindled by her agent, Percentage Graftly. Graftly retaliates by hiring a hillbilly hag whom he hoped would ruin Dave's first TV show, but the hag's suitors cause such a ruckus on the air that the show is a hit, causing the newspapers to laud Clark's success.
