Synopsis: The Hulk stops a deadly Chinese missile from being launched but the huge detonation drops him into the Savage Land where he transforms back into Bruce Banner. Being rescued by Ka-Zar from the Swamp Men, the jungle lord asks for Banner's help in deactivating a mysterious machine that is making weather all over the world to go wild and will eventually lead to the destruction of Earth. The Swamp Men renew their attack and Banner becomes the Hulk to face the threat, totally forgetting about the deadly machine he was supposed to deactivate.

Synopsis: Ka-Zar and the Hulk battle as the jungle lord tries to figure out a way to get him to turn back into Bruce Banner in time to stop an alien machine from destroying the earth using deadly weather patterns. Ka-Zar is captured and taken by the Swamp Men to be a human sacrifice for the giant creature known as Umbu. Hulk fights Umbu but transforms back into Banner thanks to a fortuitous gas attack. Banner races to stop the mysterious earth destroying machine with Umbu close on his tail and trying to stop him. Banner succeeds but is killed in achieving his victory.

Synopsis: The aliens who sent Umbu to destroy the earth capture Bruce Banner after the Hulk defeats their killer robot. Bringing him back to life (Bruce died at the end of last issue), the aliens find they have their hands full as they wage a pitched space battle with Bruce's alter ego, the incredible Hulk. Making it to their home planet, Hulk finds himself faced with the awesome might of the Galaxy Master.

Synopsis: The Hulk finds himself in the middle of a planetary civil war as some of the aliens who have been enslaved by the powerful Galaxy Master join in his fight to destroy the alien monster. Once he succeeds in defeating his foe, the Hulk is put on a rocket back to Earth but the ship has not been properly decompressed and our hero finds himself in a bit of a pickle as he turns back into Bruce Banner whose puny body cannot handle the pressures of deep space.

Synopsis: Bruce Banner, dying on a decompressed rocket ship hurling back to earth, succeeds in turning back to the Hulk and surviving the experience. Once he makes it back to earth, he is accosted by Sandman who easily dupes the Hulk into believing he is his only friend in the world. On his new buddy's instructions, Hulk attacks Ross's missile base as the Sandman uses the diversion to try and steal some military hardware. Finally figuring out that he has been hornswoggled, Hulk beats up Sandman but then leaps away before Ross and Betty can tell him they may think he is not that bad a guy after all.
