They recover a cache of Kryptonian super-weapons to engage with Supergirl, who is forced to retreat. Lesla-Lar is killed testing a disintegrator. Supergirl enlists the help of Lex Luthor, who wants his sister to be rescued from Kandor.

In the end, Luthor helps to defeat the villains and then surrenders so that Superman can save his sister Lena from being trapped in Kandor.
