Well did Kaänga, lord of the jungle, know the dangers lurking in the 'Land Beyond the Voodoo Mists.
Kaänga and Ann pursue a safari into the lands beyond the Voodoo Swamp, where they encounter animals that are extinct in the outside world. Here, the safari guide Lapin, is exploiting the Neanderthal natives and hiding his stolen treasures. Kaänga captures Lapin and takes him back to the Congo for trial.

Long ago, Simba foiled an attack by jackals on a buffalo and now the jackals seek revenge. They trick Simba into a fight with a she-leapard and while is involved in that fight, they go to the waterhole and proclaim they will be the first to drink. Simba arrives, battered but mostly unhurt, and he quickly defeats the jackals.
