Disclose Notes: Alpine Harper was lead writer on Flippity and Flop strips and Cecil Beard was lead on Twiddle and Twaddle. However, they were a husband and wife team known to write collaboratively. Owen Fitzgerald is credited as drawing one or more Flippity and Flop strips sometime in 1957, but all art in this issue appears to be Jim Davis' work. Synopsis: Flop uses Flippity to silence an alarm so that Flop can steal Sam's dog food. However, Flippity is unaware of the ruse and is confronted by Sam's evidence. When Sam realizes that Flippity was not in on the plan, he then seeks out the real culprit, Flop.

Synopsis: Flippity loses his voice and can't call Sam for help so Sam gives Flippity a dog whistle. When Flop tries to catch Flippity, he realizes that the dog whistle actually works. Flop tries to have Sam show how far he can go and still hear the whistle. However, Sam realizes his trickery.
