Flippity and Flop go out for a picnic but Sam knows that Flop's intention is to catch Flippity. Sam is asked to prove Flop's intention but when he can't, Sam suggests they play hide-and-go-seek. While playing, Sam sees Flop in the act of catching Flippity and proves his guilt.

Using a toy bird, Flippity and Flop decide to play a trick on Sam by having Sam think Flippity is dead. Fooling Sam some more, Flippity covers himself in flour to pretend to be a ghost. Sam gets scared and so Flop takes advantage to catch Flippity.

How are we doing, Twiddle?
Twiddle and Twaddle try stealing dog biscuits from Dog. To teach them a lesson, Dog decides to cover a cookie with red hot pepper sauce. However, Twiddle and Twaddle sense the booby-trap and mix the cookie with Dog's cookies. When Dog eats the cookie, he feels the fire pepper sauce.

Flop tries to lock Sam in a closet and he uses a music box to lead Sam away to an ice cream wagon in order to catch Flippity. Flop is unsuccessful and Sam returns to save Flippity but he does not hurt Flop because Flippity is sleeping. Flippity then uses a feather to tickle Flop and keep him away.
