Crippled, unable to venture forth from a tiny prison of metal...
Dollar Duncan is released from prison after twenty years and proceeds to build a criminal empire. The Boy Commandos and Rip Hunter pursue him after one of his holdups, and Rip catches up with him as a train pulls away from a water tower. The two men fight an epic battle on top of a speeding train carriage. Finally Duncan fails to avoid a bridge and is knocked into the river. He survives, but his legs are paralyzed. The doctor diagnoses it as mental paralysis only. He masterminds criminal plans and sells them to others, but Rip uncovers his hideout and captures him..

Green Arrow -- Criminal at Large!

Picture a land where every man and boy is an expert archer...
The Green Arrow and Speedy follow Flyer Fleer's aircraft in the Arrowplane. Both craft crash land on an island shrouded in fog and hidden from the outside world for centuries. Fleer convinces the inhabitants tht the mask-wearing archer heroes are criminals and that he is a lawman. All of the natives are equal in archery skill to our heroes, who take refuge in an abandoned castle. Fleer is shown the location of their treasure, which turns out to be coal. Gold is so common they make everyday objects from it. Green Arrow tunes in the Arrowplane's radio which names Fleer as a criminal.

Harold Morey is inducted into the Magic Circle and on pain of literally disappearing is sworn never to reveal any magic secrets. He ignores this oath and sets about exposing every magician he comes into contact with. Finally he is ready to challenge Zatara. But Zatara's reverse word magic proves incomprehensible to him and he promises never to reveal secrets ever again.
