Spike gives Jerry a whistle to blow when he's in trouble. Tom captures Jerry, but Jerry tricks him into turning on a whistling teakettle, which brings Spike to his rescue.

Tom kicks Jerry and Tuffy out of the house. The pair get back into the house by way of the attic. In the attic they find a movie projector and a reel of film containing a Tom and Jerry cartoon! Jerry and Tuffy use the projector and cartoon to make Tom think they have become ghosts.
