Immediately after the Phantom arranges peace terms,E
With new fighting between the Wambesi and Llongo tribes anxious chiefs turn to the Phantom to enforce peace, who refuses. Woru feels it is time to relate the story of the chain, and how the Phantom's future mother, Maude, was harassed by a Prince. As she goes into the jungle to wed the Phantom the prince's men follow, captured her and returned to the prince who wanted to wed her. The Phantom attempting rescue was captured and put to forced labor for months. Woju told the story for its moral of patience and humility. And with that lesson the Phantom again brought peace to the tribes.

The hunter wounds a tiger, the guide demands to wait it out. When asked why the guide states a wounded tiger becomes a man-eater by going after slow easy animals, Man! The tiger never came out after leaving the guide was right and a man-eater, the Limper, was created. The Phantom gets involved, and rescuing the warden he and Devil hunt The Limper with a spear, an unheard of task that continues building on the legend of the Phantom.
