You say you knew her in school, Roberta?
Roberta's old friend Dandina visits and says she brought Lassie a present. Lassie thinks it's a diamond bracelet she finds in Dandina's luggage, and puts it on her cat as a collar. The cat runs away and Lassie mobilises the neighbourhood children to find it. Dandina's fiance Pablo, who gave her the bracelet, arrives. The cat comes back but the police discover the bracelet contains stolen jewels: Pablo is a crook.
