Artist Al Taliaferro, known primarily for decades on the Donald Duck daily and Sunday syndicated newspaper comic strip, draws the character of Neighbor Jones very differently from the original "Carl Barks model" of a brawny backyard-brawler, which has become the world-wide standard.
Instead, Taliaferro depicts Jones as a tall, lanky cigar-chomper, but the core of the character is maintained with lines such as "That Duck is a menace to the civilized world!"
