Meanwhile, the deciding of the League members by Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in the Batcave is interrupted by Black Lightning's and Hawkgirl's unexpected arrival.

The new League's invitations go out, Roy Harper adopts a new costume and the codename of Red Arrow, and Black Lightning gets a tour of the Hall of Justice -- a public place where the JLA can gather including a Trophy Hall-- as well as a new satellite that includes a training room called "the Kitchen". Then, Batman and Black Lightning discover that Trident is actually a hero from the 31st century named Karate Kid.
